Instagram privacy is a simple switch with big consequences for delivery. This one is worth two minutes before you order, because it explains almost every "why is my order waiting?" email the crew gets.
What private actually means on Instagram
On a private account, only followers the owner has approved can see the posts, Reels and stories. Everyone else sees only the public basics: profile picture, username, bio and the follower count. The posts themselves stay hidden. Anyone new who wants in has to send a follow request and wait for the owner to accept it. Nobody reaches the posts on a private account without the owner saying yes first.
Why we only deliver to public accounts
When you enter a handle in the builder, we check it against the public profile. If the account is private, the builder stops and asks you to flip it public first. That’s not us being difficult: likes and views point at posts that a private setting hides, and new followers would sit in the request queue waiting for approval instead of landing on the count.
Remember the house rule: we never ask for a password. Public visibility is the only access we ever need.
Going private mid-delivery
If a target flips to private while an order is delivering, delivery stalls: the posts we’re delivering to vanish from view, and fresh follows pile up as pending requests. Our systems keep re-checking, and things pick back up once the account is public again. The smooth path: stay public until every line item on your order page shows delivered, then switch back if you prefer.
Private accounts and the refill window
Every order carries a 30-day refill guarantee, and a refill means delivering a top-up to your account. We cannot deliver to a private account, so a refill simply waits until it is public again. Going private after delivery does not cost you the guarantee: flip public whenever you want a refill, and the window works as normal.
The foreman checklist
- Before ordering: set the account public. The builder will confirm it can see you.
- During delivery: stay public until your order page shows every item delivered.
- After delivery: switch back to private if you like.
- For refills: go public so the top-up can land, then do as you please.
